We only went and won!
In the signage business every day is a new challenge, we can be working locally producing and installing signage in Manchester, or we can be at the other end of the country fitting out marquees and branding a race course - our work really is so diverse. Each day is different, we take the rough with the smooth, problem solving along the way, giving our best efforts at all times to delight our customers and exceed expectations.
We are so busy doing what we do, that we don't often get the opportunity to sit back and take stock of what we have achieved.
In December 2016 we learned that we had qualified for thebestof Business of the Year Awards 2017*. The criteria for qualifying was the number of verified reviews left by our clients on thebestof Manchester website. Actually winning an award would be based on verified reviews received between the 1st February 2016 and the 31st January 2017. In for penny, in for a pound we contacted our client base asking for a review.
It's always a risk asking for reviews - you never know what's going to come back, and we knew we would not be able to edit or remove any of the reviews submitted and verified, but we took the view that 1) if we didn't ask, we wouldn't get; 2) We could learn something from the responses and 3) It was an opportunity to re-engage.
To say we were humbled by the response was an understatement, we received over 200 reviews in the period 1st December - 31st January.
We're delighted that we won, not one, but 3 awards. Winner in thebestof Manchester, Winner in the Signage Category UK wide, and we came 20th in the UK.
But most of all, we've got great feedback, we know what we're doing right and what we could be doing better - and we'll do our best to achieve this over the next year.

*thebestof awards operate at a national and local level with a UK Business of the Year, Category Business of the Year and Town/City Business of the Year. Over 37,000 verified reviews were left for those businesses who had qualified to take part in the Awards.
